How to peel fresh tomatoes
Peeling tomatoes is as easy as one, two, three. Using a paring knife, cut a shallow X into the bottom of each tomato and drop a few at a time into a bowl of boiled water for 10 - 15 seconds.
Remove with a slotted spoon and allow to cool - the skin will slip off smoothly as you peel.
You can also loosen the peel in a microwave oven by heating it for 15 seconds on high power.
